Before you go

Current Colorado rules require artificial flies and lures only with all fish released immediately on this reach. Posted portions may close September 15-December 31 for kokanee spawning. CPW's current Chapter 1, wildlife-area rules, posted boundaries, and closure signs are the legal authority.

Designated parking and walk-in area

Use signed parking and established legal entries. Do not create roadside or fence-line access.

  • Everyone 16 or older needs a valid hunting or fishing license or an SWA pass to access Charlie Meyers SWA. Carry it and verify CPW's current requirements before arrival.
  • CPW's property map marks parking, restrooms, property boundaries, and no-public-access areas. Posted signs override the map.
  • Stay within the signed SWA area and respect neighboring ranch land.
  • Parking pressure is part of fishability. A full lot is a legitimate reason to use a backup reach.
